Terms of Service

1. What we are

One Dollar SaaS (“we”, “us”) is a directory of low-cost software. We describe apps, check that they work, compare their prices with better-known tools, and link to them. We don’t sell the apps listed here, and we’re not a party to any purchase you make from a maker.

2. Your account

• You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to create an account.
• Give accurate information, and don’t create accounts to get around a suspension or our limits.
• You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy).

3. Buying from makers

When you click through to an app, you deal directly with its maker. Prices, billing, refunds, support, data handling and the app itself are the maker’s responsibility and governed by their terms. We check apps carefully and recheck prices regularly, but prices and features can change at any time. Always confirm the price on the maker’s site before you pay.

“Keep” figures are estimates that compare entry-level public prices for one person. Your actual savings depend on your plan, team size, taxes and discounts.

4. Listing an app

If you submit or claim a listing, you confirm that:

• you own the app or are authorized to represent it;
• everything you submit (name, description, plans, prices, images, links) is accurate, and you’ll keep it accurate;
• you have the rights to the content you upload, and it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights;
• the app is lawful, works as described, and doesn’t contain malware or harvest data deceptively.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, resize and adapt your listing content (including your logo, screenshots and product name) on the site, in our newsletter, on social media and in other promotion of the directory, for as long as the listing is live and a reasonable time after.

Listing is free. We decide what’s accepted using the rules on our site, including our price limits and checks. We may decline, request changes to, hide or remove any listing at any time, including after approval, for example if the app stops working, its prices move beyond our limits, or its details become inaccurate. Links to your site may be changed or removed when a listing is hidden or removed.

5. Listings we create, claims and removals

We sometimes list apps we’ve found and checked ourselves, using publicly available information about them. These are marked as listed by us. The owner of such an app can:

• claim the listing by proving control of the app’s domain, after which they manage it under these terms; or
• ask us to remove it. We honor removal requests within 48 hours.

If you believe a claimed listing was claimed by someone else in error, contact us with proof of ownership and we’ll look into it.

6. Reviews and other content you post

• Reviews must reflect your genuine experience with the app. Don’t review your own app, a competitor’s app, or an app you were paid or rewarded to review.
• Don’t post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading, spammy, or that shares someone else’s private information.
• You keep ownership of what you post, and grant us the same license as in section 4 to display it.
• We may hold reviews for moderation, and edit formatting or remove content that breaks these rules. Makers may reply publicly to reviews.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the site. In particular, don’t:

• scrape or bulk-download the site beyond what our robots rules and API/MCP access allow, or use it to build a competing database;
• try to access accounts, data or systems that aren’t yours, or probe, test or bypass our security or rate limits;
• send automated or abusive requests, including sign-in codes for addresses you don’t control;
• manipulate rankings, reviews, clicks or saves.

Access through our MCP server or API tokens is subject to these terms, and we may revoke tokens that are misused.

8. Trademarks

Product and company names mentioned on the site, including the well-known tools we compare against, belong to their owners. We use them only to describe what an app does or replaces. Their use doesn’t imply endorsement by or affiliation with those owners. Our name and logo are ours; please don’t use them in a way that suggests we endorse you without asking.

9. Sponsored content

We may show sponsored placements in the future. They’ll always be clearly labeled. We don’t sell positions in search results or in our hand-checked listings, and we don’t take a cut of what you pay makers. Some outbound links may in future be affiliate links; if so, we’ll disclose it.

10. Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. “Hand-checked” means a person reviewed the app against our checklist at the date shown. It isn’t a warranty, security audit or endorsement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the site or any listed app, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or any app listed on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to USD 100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If you list an app or post content, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by third parties arising from your listing, your content, your app, or your breach of these terms.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts, revoke tokens, or remove content that breaks these terms or puts users or the site at risk. You can stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (licenses for content already published, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive termination.

14. Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll give notice on the site or by email. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept them.

15. Governing law and contact
